“Attached is a snapshot from yesterday, Friday, 2/13/15……….. winter time bass fishing at Lake Ozark in Missouri.
The bite started out rather slow, but eventually bass and crappie both bit rather well.
We were using suspending “rogue” type lures, Lucky Craft, Strike King RC baits and Megabass to name a few.
Apparently for the locals and others who fish this reservoir year round, the bite has been really good.
We ended up with 2 limits of crappie, mostly blacks, and 3 keeper bass (which are always released).
The key for us was, no secret, concentrating on wind-blown points. Weather factors – 25 degrees with light wind early, then warming to the mid 40’s by afternoon. Water temps 36 – 40 degrees, clarity 5+ feet.”
Thanks for the update and keep us posted on how the spring thaw and pre-spawn fishing is coming along at Lake Of The Ozarks (LOZ)!
